Tiger Brokers Singapore Brings Extended-Hours US Options Trading to Singapore Investors

  • Tiger Trade users will be able to trade options on the most actively traded US stocks, including Apple, NVIDIA and Tesla, from 7:30pm Singapore time (or 8:30pm during US standard time), two hours before the US market opens
  • The launch builds on Tiger Brokers Singapore’s 24-hour US stock trading, giving clients more of the US trading day on Singapore’s clock

SINGAPORE, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Tiger Brokers (Singapore) Pte Ltd (“Tiger Brokers Singapore”), an online brokerage licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), will offer extended-hours US options trading on its Tiger Trade platform from 9 November 2026. Clients will be able to trade options on selected US stocks before the US market opens and shortly after it closes, through Tiger Brokers Singapore’s partnership with Cboe Global Markets, which introduced the new sessions on 19 October.

The launch is the latest step in Tiger Brokers Singapore’s push to make the US market more accessible on Singapore time. In May 2024, it introduced overnight trading for US stocks, allowing clients to trade during Singapore’s daytime, after finding that around 20% of its users’ engagement with popular US stocks took place outside regular US hours.

Options trading is growing quickly among Tiger Brokers Singapore’s clients. In the second quarter of 2026, the number of Singapore accounts trading US options rose 69% year-on-year, as more retail investors look beyond stocks to hedge their portfolios, generate income or take tactical positions. Until now, these investors could only trade options during regular US market hours, which run from 9:30pm to 4:00am (or 10:30pm to 5:00am during US standard time) in Singapore.

From 9 November, Tiger Trade users can trade options on 24 single stocks, including Apple, NVIDIA, Tesla, Microsoft, Meta and Amazon. These names accounted for a significant proportion of average daily US-listed options volume in 2026 through September. The pre-market session runs from 7:30pm to 9:25pm (or 8:30pm to 10:25pm during US standard time) Singapore time, and the post-market session from 4:00am to 4:15am (or 5:00am to 5:15am during US standard time) the following morning. Only limit orders are accepted outside regular US trading hours.

No more waiting for the opening bell

For Singapore investors, the US pre-market falls in the evening, when economic data and corporate announcements are commonly released. With extended hours, Tiger Trade users holding options on these names can adjust their positions as news breaks instead of waiting for the opening bell.

Ian Leong, CEO of Tiger Brokers Singapore, said: “Many of our clients follow the US market in their evening, and the stretch before the opening bell is often when the most important news lands. After bringing 24-hour trading to US stocks, extending options hours was the natural next step. It lets clients manage their positions around those moments in the names they already trade most. As with any new trading window, we’re pairing this access with education and safeguards, so clients understand how liquidity and pricing can behave outside regular hours.”

As demonstrated by the demand for Cboe’s proprietary index options outside of regular U.S. trading hours, global investors want the ability to trade and manage U.S. exposure closer to their daytime hours,” said Rob Hocking, Global Head of Derivatives at Cboe Global Markets. “The extended trading hours sessions now give Tiger Brokers clients in eligible jurisdictions access to some of the most actively traded single-stock options.”

Extended-hours options will be available through the existing options tab on each eligible stock’s page in Tiger Trade, with real-time US options quotes available throughout the sessions. Clients new to options can practise with Tiger Trade’s US$1,000,000 demo account before trading.

The launch adds to recent recognition for Tiger Brokers Singapore’s platform. The company was recently named Best Retail Broker in Singapore at the SIAS Investors’ Choice Awards 2026, which recognises the brokerage that best serves retail investors in Singapore. Tech in Asia also recognised Tiger Brokers Singapore as Singapore’s Top Fintech Company in the Wealth Technology category.
