PCCW Global, the international telecommunications arm of HKT, and Druid Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 9 at the 11th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong. The partnership aims to deliver one-stop Internet of Things (IoT) solutions integrating satellite and hybrid connectivity across the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Belt and Road regions.
Under the agreement, Druid Technology will provide expertise in intelligent IoT terminals, multi-network adaptation, and platform integration, while PCCW Global will contribute its global network services, including roaming and cellular IoT. The collaboration will support applications such as remote monitoring and tracking in transportation, logistics, livestock farming, and environmental management in areas beyond the reach of conventional networks.
Both companies expect the integrated solutions to accelerate deployment across Belt and Road markets, offering end-to-end IoT services encompassing terminal devices, network connectivity, data management, and technical support.
