The Police and Fire Services Department on Thursday raided a suspected illegal petrol station in Tseung Kwan O.
During the operation at an industrial estate on Chun Yat Street, officers seized about 1,500 litres of petrol along with refuelling equipment.
Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle involved had been operating for about a week, and that it was using an instant messaging app to take orders.
A 35-year-old man was detained in connection with the case.
The Fire Services Department will apply to the court to confiscate the petrol, which has a market value of about HK$50,000.
