Police said a car struck an elderly woman in Kowloon Bay on Tuesday morning, leaving her seriously injured.
Officers said they received a report around 11am that a woman in her eighties had been hit by a vehicle near the Auxiliary Police Headquarters on Wang Chiu Road.
The victim was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
According to authorities, the car involved caught fire after the collision, but firefighters immediately extinguished the flames upon arriving at the scene.
