The SAR’s star badminton duo of Jordan Tang and Tse Ying-suet won silver in mixed doubles at the Singapore Open on Sunday.
The Hong Kong, China pair were defeated 16-21, 5-21 by Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Supissara Paewsampran from Thailand.
Seeded second in the tournament, Tang and Tse were outplayed by the younger, more lively Thai pair, who came in as the sixth seed in the competition.
Despite defeat, it was the second final Tang and Tse made in four appearances, since Tse returned to the court following a surgery.
They had won their maiden Asian title in Ningbo in April, in what was their first tournament back together.
The star pair will be back in action on Tuesday, when they play in the Indonesia Open alongside fellow SAR shuttlers Angus Ng and Lee Cheuk-yiu in men’s singles, as well as the women’s doubles pair of Lianne Yeung and Yeung Pui-lam.
