Police on Saturday said they have arrested six people for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Mong Kok last August.
The five women and a man, aged 15 to 22, were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, after the teenage girl made a report to the police on Friday.
Police said the girl was allegedly slapped and bullied by around 10 teenage boys and girls, at a rear staircase of a shopping mall in Mong Kok.
Police said they had argued over “an attitude problem and trivial matters.”
Police also believe that one of the attackers had filmed a video of the assault, but officers are investigating why the video was posted to the internet.
The arrestees are being detained for further enquiries, and police said they have information about other alleged attackers. Some of the attackers allegedly have a triad background.
