The dynamic programme highlighted Macao as a growing sports-entertainment destination, and showcased the leading integrated resort operator’s expertise in delivering one-of-a-kind experiences.
The Pros Take the Court
Drawing enthusiastic international and regional fans to The Venetian Arena on Oct. 9 and 11 were The NBA China Games 2026, starring the Dallas Mavericks and the Houston Rockets, with half-time entertainment by Gen Z K-Pop girl group KiiiKiii.
The electrifying games captivated the full house and featured top-tier players, including the Mavericks’ Cooper Flagg, Kyrie Irving and Morez Johnson Jr., and the Rockets’ Kevin Durant, Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson. The Houston Rockets were the victors on Friday with a score of 135-117, and the Dallas Mavericks took the win on Sunday 132-115.
Fans and Legends Together
An immersive selection of events was another highlight. Showcasing the convergence of the game, music, fashion and technology was NBA House (Oct. 7-11), which was headlined by a roster of stars. NBA legends Ray Allen, Carlos Boozer, Chris Bosh, Jeremy Lin, Stephon Marbury, Shawn Marion, Cuttino Mobley, Mitch Richmond, Luis Scola, and P.J. Tucker, alongside Chinese basketball hero Ding Yanyuhang, led the sports lineup, while entertainment was provided by KiiiKiii, K-Pop star EVAN, and Hong Kong singer-actor and MIRROR member Keung To.
In addition, it featured a bustling Merchandise Village offering official NBA products, collectibles, and lifestyle apparel, plus a customisation lab, on-court basketball activities, an interactive shooting experience, and viewing parties for both games. Sports enthusiasts were also impressed by the G Bear Pop-up Store at NBA House, which sold limited-edition merchandise such as jerseys and figurines, as well as the G Bear Cafe at NBA House that served Texas-themed dishes created by acclaimed chef Edward Lee. Chef Lee’s dishes are now available at G Bear Cafe at Londoner Grand® until Oct. 31.
Complementing NBA House was the NBA Fan Day on Oct. 10. The exciting day featured appearances from key players from the Mavericks and the Rockets, with selected celebrities and fans having the opportunity to join NBA players in a series of skills tests. Celebrity performances and entertainment from the official dance teams and mascots completed the day.
More than a Game
Events that had guests cheering for more were the After Parties. Two Grammy-awarded producers, Mustard and Diplo, had the party-goers on their feet on Oct. 9 and Oct. 10, respectively, with special guests, rappers Key Ng and Skai Isyourgod.
Bringing the week to an unforgettable close was the spectacular Fireworks Display and Drone Show on Oct. 11. Launched from The Parisian® Macao’s rooftop and Eiffel Tower, the awe-inspiring display featured 1,500 drones, stunning fireworks and a synchronised NBA musical score.
Sports aficionados and collectors were also able to take home unique souvenirs from the NBA Macao Flagship Store, including exclusive products inspired by Macao’s cityscape.
