MACAU, Feb 12, 2026 – Sands China has expanded its partnership with Alipay and Macau Pass to enhance digital payment integration and smart tourism experiences during the Lunar New Year holiday. The initiative aims to boost tourism spending and support the digital transformation of local merchants.
The collaboration features the “Tap for Fortune” campaign, leveraging Alipay’s Tap technology for interactive check-ins and on-site activities across Sands China’s resorts, including retail, dining, beauty, fashion, and souvenir outlets. The system also introduces mobile point-of-sale devices for flexible cashiering, improving operational efficiency and customer service.
Executives from Sands China, Ant Group, and Macau Pass highlighted the partnership as a key step toward advancing Macau’s smart city initiatives, reinforcing the city’s role as a digital hub within the Greater Bay Area, and offering seamless payment and membership experiences to visiting tourists.
