Jockey Zac Purton has reached a milestone, posting his 2,000th win in Hong Kong.
The Australian ace achieved the feat on board “Rising World” in race one in Sha Tin on Sunday.
Speaking after the win, he thanked various trainers and owners for their support over the years.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club also congratulated the Lismore native on his achievement.
Purton is Hong Kong’s winningest jockey.
He began riding in the SAR in 2007 and has partnered with some of the best horses that have raced in the city, including “Beauty Generation” and “Ka Ying Rising”. He’s also a multiple-time champion jockey in Hong Kong.
