Her comments came after the Tourism Board on Monday said it will be offering discounts over hotels and tourist attractions across the city for a month, starting from July 31.
Visitors and locals presenting a valid ticket from designated mega events or activities can enjoy unlimited extra five-percent discounts at over 100 locations, covering dining, attraction tickets, and merchandise.
Speaking on a radio programme, Law said visitors and locals presenting a valid ticket from designated mega events or activities will be able to enjoy a variety of perks.
One of which would be the Football Festival – running from Friday to August 5 – featuring four Europe football clubs.
“As far as I know, over 100 restaurants will be offering a five-percent discount. For accommodation, this will have to depend on the number of overseas football fans coming to the city, as I know some hotels are offering perks according to what events will be held at Kai Tak Sports Park,” she said.
“In terms of merchandise, there are several pop-up stores set up at Kai Tak Mall, which are quite popular,” she added.
Law said over two-thirds of the tickets have been sold so far, adding that the organiser will confirm the player list in the next couple of days.
She added that a series of events will be held over the summer, including an exhibition showcasing ancient Egyptian civilisation, Chiikawa Artiverse, as well as a series of performances.
