Legislative Council President Starry Lee on Tuesday said lawmakers have been inspired from studying the country’s guiding ideology, as they continued a study tour in Beijing.
In a social media post, Lee said she and fellow lawmakers attended a thematic seminar at the National Academy of Governance on the third day of their week-long visit.
The seminar, under the theme of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, was inspiring, she said.
Lawmakers learned about the thought’s history and application, as well as national achievements under its guidance, she added.
Lee said the seminar offered an opportunity for lawmakers to level up their mindsets, better serve Hong Kong residents and contribute to the SAR’s long-term development and integration into national development.
