Brazil got the better of Great Britain’s women’s squad, beating them 17-12 by dominating in the first half of play, scoring three tries.
Bianca Silva scored the first two tries, with Gisele Gomes Dos Santos then coming up with another one all in the first half.
Team GB tried to mount a comeback with a pair of tries in the second half, but fell short in the end.
Captain Katie Shillaker scored her team’s final try in the last minute of play.
In the men’s Bowl match, Uruguay bested Great Britain 26-14 by coming out of the gate with two tries.
Britain levelled the game with two of their own by the half, but were unable to respond to Uruguay’s two tries in the second half.
