An employee of a fertility clinic at the centre of an alleged embryo samples mix-up who returned to Malaysia and resigned soon being interviewed by officers is now being sought by the police.
Investigators, who have since classified the incident as fraud, have determined that the mix-up occurred on-site at Heal Fertility, according to sources.
The Malaysian worker is alleged to have made mistakes while taking samples and attempted to cover it up.
It is believed the worker was in charge of obtaining samples from embryos before sending them to a laboratory at Chinese University for genetic tests.
The force conducted the interview last month and took a cautioned statement.
The worker returned to Malaysia the next day and resigned from the job.
