The Terengganu State Government and Terengganu Petroleum Council (TPC) today announced the inaugural East Coast Energy (ECE) 2025, set to take place from 23 – 24June 2025 at the Taman Tamadun Islam Convention Centre in Kuala Terengganu. This event will serve as a pivotal platform, uniting government leaders, industry pioneers, and community champions to forge an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable energy future, marking a significant leap in the region’s economic diversification.
EAST COAST ENERGY 2025: POWERING A NEW ERA OF INCLUSIVE TRANSFORMATION
Organised by Informa Markets, the team behind Oil and Gas Asia (OGA), and supported by Terengganu Inc. as strategic partner, EPIC Berhad as corporate partner and PETRONAS as knowledge partner, ECE 2025 will serve as a catalyst for investments, partnerships, and innovations that drive inclusive growth while addressing critical environmental challenges.

These critical themes will be explored through a series of strategic forums, including:
- Energising Local Communities in the East Coast: The Role of Energy in Economic Growth, Job Opportunities, and Sustainability;
- East Coast Malaysia as a Hub for Energy Transition: Unlocking the Potential of Energy Expansion;
- East Coast Malaysia as a CCUS Hub;
- Asset Management and Integrity Challenges and Opportunities, and
- Empowering East Coast Talent: Bridging Communities and Building a Skilled Workforce for a Sustainable Future.
While the full roster of distinguished speakers will be announced in the coming months, confirmed participants include leading experts from State and Federal Governments, anchor players in the energy ecosystem, key supply chain partners, and influential public sector leaders.

The initiatives include ECANS (Energy Career Aspirations Networking Series) will connect students and young professionals with industry leaders, while ENERGY4ME promotes energy education and STEM skills among primary school students. Additionally, the Grand Oilmen Charity Masters, a golf tournament happening on the eve of ECE, supported by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Kuala Lumpur Section, will raise funds with proceeds benefiting local communities in Terengganu.
