Writing on social media on the second day of the study trip on national affairs, Lee said the group attended lectures on topics including “Thoroughly implementing the principle of ‘patriots administering Hong Kong’ and enhancing the quality and standards of Legco’s work”.
She said that the lectures do not act only as a reminder but also a great motivation for them, given that they are a crucial part of the SAR’s governing team.
Lawmakers have to continue to uphold and improve the executive-led system to help the administration improve governance and promote socio-economic development, Lee said, as well as consider how to make good use of Hong Kong’s advantages to better serve the people.
She believes that her colleagues will treasure the valuable opportunities in the week-long visit to transform what they have learnt into concrete actions that help serve the public and build Hong Kong going forward.
