Artificial intelligence can dramatically accelerate the handling of complex tasks, with the highest impact on jobs requiring advanced education, according to a new report by AI developer Anthropic.
The study found that AI could increase efficiency in high-skill tasks by up to 12 times, raising concerns about deskilling and the erosion of job value for white-collar workers. Effective human-AI collaboration may extend productive task time nearly tenfold, suggesting that the ability to manage AI will be more critical than relying on it alone.
