SINGAPORE, April 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Allianz Insurance Singapore has launched Recycle My Tyres, a first-of-its-kind recycling initiative by an insurer in Singapore, encouraging more sustainable tyre disposal practices and reducing automotive waste.

This programme, created in partnership with Singapore-based tyre recycler Global Enviro Technology, enables car owners to drop off used tyres at participating Allianz-authorised workshops. Tyres are then collected, pre-processed, and transformed using proprietary, patented, advanced RF (radio frequency) plasma pyrolysis technology into materials like recovered carbon black, syngas, and steel—giving tyres a second life instead of being incinerated or ending up in landfills. Global Enviro Technology is a regional pioneer in this space with its sustainable methodology & zero-waste practices.

Through this initiative, Allianz Insurance Singapore and Global Enviro Technology will track the number of tyres collected and estimate the carbon savings from recycling. This data will help raise awareness and reinforce the collective impact of small changes.
The Recycle My Tyres programme is available to the general public to participate in. Interested drivers can visit participating Allianz-Authorised workshops to drop-off used tyres and have them recycled at no extra cost.
