Veteran Taiwanese singer and actor Richie Jen captivated audiences in Singapore this week with his “Richie Footprints 2026” world tour, performing two sold-out shows at Resorts World Sentosa. The concerts drew thousands of fans and featured a heartwarming surprise from a fellow Mandopop star.
During the performance, Singaporean Golden Melody Award winner JJ Lin sent flowers and his own branded coffee to support Jen, prompting the singer to playfully call Lin the “Prince of Singapore.” The gesture highlighted a friendship that spans nearly three decades.

Their connection dates back 29 years, when a 15-year-old Lin participated in his first singing competition with Jen serving as a judge. Lin has said the experience of meeting a screen idol in person left a lasting impression, and today, the two stand as peers in the music industry.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Jen invited Malaysian comedian Henn to join the tour stop, engaging fans with local experiences such as zip-lining and food tasting, and hosting an interactive song request segment during the concerts.

Fans’ enthusiasm reached fever pitch, with attendees shouting declarations of admiration and even jokingly prioritizing their idol over family in playful onstage exchanges. Jen thanked the crowd for their passionate support, calling the Singapore stop an unforgettable highlight of his tour.
