Some acceptance letters might be delivered by post later, with the Housing Bureau saying it will consider homeowners to have accepted the offer as long as the letters are postmarked on or before August 31.
A bureau spokesman said upon verification, it will arrange relevant owners to sign the formal Agreement for Sale and Purchase.
As of Monday afternoon, the government has signed the agreement with 1,559 households, accounting for 78.6 percent of all units.
“The government will continue to follow up on the procedures for acquiring the remaining titles at full speed to take forward the title acquisition exercise,” the spokesman added.
