About 10 people were injured after a Kowloon-bound Citybus hit a railing on Tuen Mun Road near Sham Tseng.
Part of the highway has been closed due to the incident.
The incident happened at about 9am when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the barrier opposite the Bellagio, a private housing estate on the reclaimed land along Castle Peak Road in Sham Tseng.
Images on social media showed damage to the bus’ windscreen, along with shattered glass.
Fortunately, no one was trapped in the bus, but some passengers were understood to have been injured by debris. All were conscious.
The Transport Department said part of the Tuen Mun Road heading towards Kowloon near Sham Tseng has been closed, and drivers can only use the remaining lanes.
