Beijing, May 21, 2026 — Xiaomi Group launched its latest YU7 GT and YU7 Standard Edition SUVs at its “Human-Car-Home” ecosystem product event, extending the company’s push into smart vehicles and connected living.
The YU7 GT, positioned as a “sports car-level SUV,” starts at RMB 389,900 and features aerodynamic styling, active diffusers, and Xiaomi’s proprietary JiaoLong chassis. A track-focused version completed the Nürburgring in 7 minutes 34.931 seconds, setting a new record for Chinese SUVs.
The YU7 Standard Edition, priced from RMB 233,500, offers longer range and faster charging than Tesla’s Model Y while integrating the firm’s in-vehicle smart ecosystem. Both models share Xiaomi’s high-performance three-electric system and advanced safety features.
Founder and CEO Lei Jun highlighted that the YU7 family now spans five trims from RMB 233,500 to 389,900, aimed at challenging top global competitors such as Tesla and Porsche. Xiaomi has sold 232,000 YU7 units in 10 months, with January 2026 setting a record 37,000 deliveries.
The showcase also introduced the Xiaomi 17 Max flagship phone, clip-on earphones, Mi Band 10 Pro, Mi Home robotic appliances, and new smart home devices, reinforcing the company’s “Human-Car-Home” strategy to strengthen its intelligent ecosystem.
