HONG KONG, May 27 — Xiaomi has announced a major price reduction for its MiMo-V2.5 series model APIs, with the maximum cut reaching 99 percent. The new pricing, which removes differentiation based on context window length, took effect globally early Tuesday.
Under the updated plan, the MiMo-V2.5-Pro model will cost as low as RMB 0.025 per million tokens. Xiaomi also optimized its Token Plan billing system, allowing users to receive five to eight times more usage within the same price tier. Existing subscribers will have their quotas reset to align with the new rules.
The company said the price adjustment was made possible by improvements in its inference system, enabling nearly fivefold increases in cacheable tokens while maintaining service quality. MiMo-V2.5 models entered public beta in April, and the Pro version has since topped global open-source AI benchmarks, with its Hermes Agent leading in OpenRouter usage volume in May.
