Nobody was reported injured after three workers became trapped on a gondola platform in Tin Shui Wai on Saturday.
The incident happened at the Tin Shui Estate as Hong Kong saw its first amber rainstorm of the year at around 3 pm.
A video circulating online showed the platform swaying from side to side amid high wind gusts.
Firefighters rescued the workers shortly after.
