From hiring tools and smarter and streamlined workflows, to empowered volunteerism that delivers real-world impact, finalists unveiled a bold spectrum of technology solutions to transform both public and private sectors at Workato’s inaugural National Developer Challenge.

SINGAPORE, June 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Workato®, the leading Enterprise Orchestration platform, has successfully concluded The Work Revolution National Developer Challenge – a nationwide challenge aimed at fostering innovation for the future of work.

With the support of Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the competition brought together over 100 developers from across the region to create practical automation, integration and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions that address critical business challenges facing enterprises today, showcasing Singapore’s growing reputation as a hub for technological talent and innovation in the enterprise automation and AI space.

Team ( 我 )rk 爱  AI emerged as the winner taking home the grand prize of S$10,000 and the opportunity to share their idea at Workato’s annual flagship conference later this year. Their solution is an AI-assisted volunteer onboarding system for AWARE Singapore which boosts role matching, retention, and frontline capacity, effectively cutting down social sector organizations’ volunteer vetting time from months to days.

The first runner-up was Team Nauticodes from Seaco, who developed a voice-enabled AI solution that addresses Seaco’s existing challenges with container operations. The solution increases accuracy, accessibility, and scalability while reducing errors, costs, and compliance risks across the operations team. The second runner-up was Rohan Dev, a consulting engineer at Cisco. He created AID, an AI-agent platform that streamlines fragmented healthcare workflows into a unified, context-aware system. His goal was to reduce inefficiencies for healthcare professionals saddled with administrative tasks. His solution cuts admin time by up to 50 percent and improves care coordination across patient journeys.

“We are very happy we won, and we will be donating the money for a good cause,” said Isaac Lee from the winning team, (我)rk 爱 AI. “I’m surprised we won, given that there were a lot of interesting approaches from other participants, which were intriguing and fresh to the scene.”

“The successful completion of Workato’s National Developer Challenge in Singapore is a testament to the remarkable technical talent available in this region,” said Carter Busse, Chief Information Officer at Workato. “With the support of IMDA, we witnessed first-hand how Singapore’s developer community combines technical expertise with practical business acumen to create automation solutions that deliver measurable impact. These results reinforce our commitment to investing in Singapore as a critical hub for both talent development and business growth. The innovative approaches that we have seen during this challenge will directly influence how enterprises can accelerate their digital transformation journeys using our platform.”

Launched in March, The Work Revolution National Developer Challenge 2025 aimed to gather fresh and innovative ideas across security, employee experience, customer experience, operational excellence, and social sector themes in the span of nine weeks. It was open to students, customers, partners, prospects and citizen developers across all industries, where they underwent mentorships and enterprise-grade training sessions by Workato experts to tackle real-world challenges. These programmes aimed to showcase the ecosystem that Singapore has developed, where businesses can effectively implement and scale technology solutions, underscoring Workato’s commitment to supporting Singapore’s overall vision of becoming a global AI and innovation hub.

The judging panel comprised of revered industry leaders:

  • June Lee, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific, Workato
  • Alp Altun, Chief Global Technology Product Officer, Prudential
  • Charles Tan, Senior Director, Philanthropy, The Majurity Trust
  • Pan Yong Ng, Chief Cloud Engineer & Chief Innovation Officer, HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency)
  • Sau Sheong Chang, Chief Technology Officer & Deputy Chief Executive, GovTech
