Registration, under which people have to use their names, will remain available until 5pm on the day before each competition day, the National Games Coordination Office (Hong Kong) said.
The table tennis competition for the National Special Olympic Games will take place on December 6, 8 and 9 at Tsuen Wan Sports Centre.
The tournament will feature five events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Athletes will compete across five age groups.
Prior to the event, division tests will be conducted based on age, gender and event category to group athletes of similar ability, with each group consisting of three to eight participants.
Spectators, the co-ordination office said, can register through the China Travel Service Hong Kong website from Friday until 5pm on the day before the event, with each person able to apply for up to two tickets.
Successful applicants will receive a ticket exchange certificate via email.
On the day of the event, this certificate – along with the identification document used for registration – must be presented at the ticketing office outside the venue in exchange for a single-day admission ticket.
The office added that tickets are full-day passes with unassigned seating and allow for re-entry.
