It wrote in a statement that Xi will attend celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow.
The spokesman said Xi will have strategic communication with Putin on the development of China-Russia relations under new global situations, and discuss about major international and regional issues.
Writing on social media, the Kremlin said bilateral talks will be held during the visit, focusing on the further advancement of China-Russia relations.
“Additionally, the two leaders are to sign a number of bilateral inter-governmental and inter-departmental documents,” it wrote.
