About 1,470 of them are now living in transitional housing or Housing Society estates while the rest are staying in hotels or youth hostels.
Chief Executive John Lee and Chief Secretary Eric Chan visited separate transitional housing projects in Yuen Long on Monday afternoon to meet some of the displaced residents.
Lee said the government is deeply concerned about the wellbeing of the affected residents and will look after their daily needs.
Authorities have pledged to provide free housing for survivors of the inferno until they can rebuild their homes.
The Tai Po estate was home to nearly 2,000 households, with more than 4,600 people living there before the blaze, according to the latest census in 2021.
The Social Welfare Department, meanwhile, has reached out to about 1,450 households, and will assign a dedicated social worker for each family to follow up on their needs.
