The Hong Kong, China wushu team continued their medal run at the Asian Games in Japan, with Leung Yu-hong bagging silver in the men’s 60kg sanda final.
Leung, who won the SAR’s first-ever World Championships sanda gold medal in 2023, had gold in his sights, but ultimately fell to China’s Tang Sishuo by points difference at the Aichi Prefectural Martial Arts Hall.
Leung’s silver continues Hong Kong’s strong showing in wushu at this year’s edition of the Games.
Lau Chi-lung won silver in the men’s nanquan and nangun on Tuesday, with Lydia Sham earning the SAR’s first gold medal at the Games in the women’s changquan final on Monday while Chan Tsz-ching took bronze in the women’s 52-kilo sanda event on Wednesday.
