At least 128 people died in the blaze, that engulfed seven residential blocks.
Speaking on the sidelines of a Commercial Radio programme, Mak said a WhatsApp hotline had been set up for people who want to help residents ahead of the platform’s launch.
“The e-platform is going to be launched in these few days… Before the roll-out of the platform, the public can reach us through our WhatsApp hotline,” she said.
“If they want to offer any volunteering service or any resources for our residents, please do register through this WhatsApp platform.”
Mak also said over 360 households had already received the government’s HK$10,000 emergency payment, out of the 1,200 who had registered.
Speaking alongside Mak, Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun said several foreign domestic helpers remain missing.
“The Labour Department is also working together with the two consulates in Hong Kong, which includes a visit to Tai Po, so that they can look for and also help the foreign domestic helpers on site,” he said.
Most domestic helpers come from the Philippines and Indonesia. Two helpers are known to have died in the fire.
Sun said the government would cater to their needs, as he expressed his gratitude.
“Many of them, we know, stayed inside together with their employers, taking care of them even at the height of the fire,” he added.
With the SAR administration launching a citywide enforcement operation on construction and renovation sites with large-scale scaffolding, Sun said the Labour Department would first focus on sites managed by the Wang Fuk Court contractor.
He said the government would complete the inspections as fast as possible.
