On top of earlier allowances, extra support is now available in four categories.
Patients hospitalised for a week or more will receive an additional HK$100,000, while those who stay in hospital six days or less will get HK$50,000.
All pupils and full-time tertiary students who live in the estate will receive HK$20,000.
Construction workers who were involved in the estate’s renovation project, as well as the cleaners, security guards, as well as domestic helpers employed there will also each receive HK$20,000.
The government also revealed it has received HK$1.3 billion in public donations to its support fund.
Together with its own HK$300 million, the tally of HK$1.6 billion will help residents rebuild their lives and homes, the administration said.
Meanwhile, the first batch of households whose family members were killed in the fire has received HK$200,000 each and HK$50,000 for funeral and related expenses.
The batch involved 18 households.
