The Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department (AFCD) today launched an investigation into a suspected dog bite case following a referral from Police this morning.
AFCD officers were promptly deployed to a warehouse on Kam Pok Road in Yuen Long. The dog in question was subsequently removed and transferred to an Animal Management Centre for isolation and veterinary observation.
Initial inspections confirmed that the dog is a microchipped mongrel with a valid licence. The department stated that its investigation is ongoing, and prosecution will be instituted should there be sufficient evidence that the law has been contravened.
