Comedian and actor Jimmy O. Yang is set to make history as the first English-language stand-up performer to headline the Hong Kong Coliseum. Scheduled for June 14 at 8:15 PM, the show marks a groundbreaking moment for both the city’s comedy scene and its evolving cultural landscape.
O. Yang, widely known for his roles in Silicon Valley and Crazy Rich Asians, visited Hong Kong just a few months ago, where he met with local legends Chow Yun-fat and Dayo Wong. Inspired by Wong’s trailblazing stand-up shows at the Coliseum, O. Yang now follows suit—bringing an English-language comedy set to one of Asia’s most iconic entertainment venues for the first time.
Tickets range from HK$380 to HK$780, with HSBC Credit Card Priority Booking available via Cityline on May 9. Klook pre-sale begins on May 12, and public sale starts May 15 via URBTIX.
Beyond comedy, O. Yang’s performance is a statement of cultural fusion—an East-meets-West moment underscoring Hong Kong’s openness to global voices. As the city reasserts its place as an international hub, the show is both a celebration and a signal: Hong Kong is ready to laugh in every language.
