SINGAPORE, April 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Ultima Markets has unveiled the Ultima Impact Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation established to lead the company’s long-term commitment to sustainability and social impact.
Ultima Impact is rooted in the belief that business can be a force for good—bridging purpose and impact to create measurable, lasting change for individuals, communities, and the planet.
As a first step, Ultima Impact recently concluded a tree and mangrove replanting initiative in Southeast Asia. In partnership with local communities and environmental groups, the foundation supported restoration efforts across parts of Malaysia and Thailand. The initiative brought together over 60 volunteers from across the region. While modest in scale, this marks the beginning of a longer-term focus on ecological restoration, biodiversity, and climate resilience.
Jean Philippe, Director of Ultima Impact Foundation and Board Advisor for Sustainability at Ultima Markets, shared: “At Ultima Impact, we believe sustainability is more than just an idea—it is a responsibility. Deforestation continues to threaten ecosystems and displace communities, but through efforts like this, we are taking action to restore what has been lost.”
The launch comes at a time when environmental restoration has never been more important. Since 1996, the world has lost over 5,200 square kilometres of mangroves—about 83 football fields every day. Though the pace of loss has slowed, the impact continues to threaten coastlines and biodiversity.
Tree cover is also shrinking. Over the past 2 decades, the world gained forests equal in size to Peru, but lost even more—an area over four times the size of the UK. It is a sobering reminder that helping nature heal must be part of any long-term plan.
Ultima Impact will continue to grow its programmes in the months ahead, with corporate social responsibility initiatives planned in education, innovation, and community development. The foundation remains committed to working hand-in-hand with partners on the ground, guided by strong governance and driven by a vision for sustainable, inclusive impact.
Jean Philippe added, “We are grateful to all the volunteers, organisers, and partners who have made this effort possible. Your dedication shows that when we work together, meaningful change is possible.”
