WUZHONG, China, June 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Recently, the installation and acceptance procedures for the 330-kilovolt Juneng Sunjiatan energy storage interval (hereinafter referred to as “the interval”) at the Tongli 330-kilovolt substation in Wuzhong, Ningxia were successfully concluded, rendering the facility ready for operation. This achievement provides a solid foundation for the upcoming connection of the 300-megawatt / 600-megawatt-hour shared energy storage power station on the grid side of the Juneng Sunjiatan Substation in Wuzhong, Ningxia.
During the expansion construction of this interval, several challenges were encountered, including a high density of existing equipment and limited available space within the substation. To address these issues, State Grid Wuzhong Power Supply Company established a specialized technical team that conducted an in-depth analysis of the expansion plan. A comprehensive evaluation and simulation of power grid operations were carried out, leading to the formulation of a detailed construction plan and robust safety assurance measures. Throughout the construction phase, personnel strictly adhered to operational protocols, expediting progress while maintaining high standards of quality. The successful completion of the installation, commissioning, and testing of the interval equipment ensured its readiness for immediate deployment.
