Xiaomi has rolled out its 500th-thousandth electric vehicle at the Beijing Auto Super Factory, reaching the milestone in just 602 days since the debut of its first model, the SU7, in March 2024—a new global speed record for emerging new-energy carmakers. CEO Lei Jun said the achievement reflects full validation of Xiaomi Auto’s end-to-end capabilities across R&D, manufacturing, sales, delivery and service, and marks the company’s transition into a new phase of large-scale operations. Xiaomi expects to deliver more than 400,000 vehicles in 2025.
Over the past 20 months, Xiaomi has repeatedly broken industry records. The SU7 became the fastest NEV model to reach 100,000 deliveries, doing so in just 230 days. In June 2025, the SU7 Ultra clocked a 7:04.957 lap at the Nürburgring, making it the first Chinese model to claim the “fastest production EV” title. The YU7 SUV also set a historic industry record with 240,000 orders locked within 18 hours of launch. Lei Jun said Xiaomi Auto will now double down on safety, quality and delivery while accelerating production, strengthening core technology R&D, and deepening the integration of AI and intelligent manufacturing. “Expectations are high,” he said, “and we will deliver with action, not words.”
