HONG KONG – On September, 2025, on-demand delivery platform Lalamove welcomed measures announced in the Chief Executive’s latest Policy Address to support enterprises in expanding overseas. The company highlighted Hong Kong’s role as a ‘super-connector’ and ‘super value-adder,’ stressing that the government’s initiatives can help local and Mainland firms overcome challenges in entering international markets. Lalamove, which started in Hong Kong and has since expanded globally, also voiced support for government-led innovation policies, such as the development of a low-altitude economy and broader adoption of artificial intelligence, which it said would foster a stronger innovation ecosystem while enhancing governance efficiency.
Lalamove’s own trajectory underscores these opportunities. Since its founding in Hong Kong in 2013, the company has expanded to cover more than 400 cities across Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, connecting millions of drivers and businesses. The firm said it sees policy support as vital to accelerating the internationalisation of Hong Kong enterprises, allowing local innovations to scale in diverse markets worldwide.
