The Transport Department announced on Monday that from June people will no longer be able to renew their driving licences by leaving their applications in drop-in boxes at post offices.
It said more and more people are filing the applications online these days and there is a “persistently low usage” of the boxes.
Scrapping the use of them will “consolidate resources and enhance service efficiency”, the department said.
People will still be able to submit their applications by post or at Licensing Offices.
