Hong Kong, October 28, 2025 — Cyberport, eHealth Consortium, and health technology firm LIVE4WELL jointly hosted the “AI-driven Preventive Healthcare Launch Event,” highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in transforming wellness management. The event unveiled a survey titled “Hong Kong People’s Awareness, Behavioral Patterns, and Support Expectations for Preventive Healthcare,” conducted by Deloitte, which found that 77% of respondents believe technology will play a greater role in future wellness. Guests of honour included Hon. Duncan Chiu, Legislative Council Member (Technology & Innovation), and Ms. Joyce Cheung, JP, Assistant Head of the Chief Executive’s Policy Unit.
Speakers from Cyberport, eHealth Consortium, and LIVE4WELL underscored the importance of AI in advancing Hong Kong’s healthcare transformation. Ir. Eric Chan of Cyberport emphasized that AI enables a paradigm shift from treatment to prevention through data-driven insights, aligning with Hong Kong’s primary healthcare reforms. Dr. Charleston Sin of eHealth Consortium highlighted how integrating technology with medical expertise can enhance self-health management, while Ms. Miranda Wong of LIVE4WELL introduced the “Wellness 3.0” concept—using AI to turn health data into personalized preventive solutions.
The event also featured an experiential zone demonstrating AI-driven health screening technologies, including a 30-second retinal imaging system capable of detecting up to 55 health risk factors such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Complementary experiences like 3D postural scanning, body composition analysis, and AI motion capture fitness testing allowed participants to explore the future of self-directed preventive healthcare, reflecting Hong Kong’s growing enthusiasm for technology-enabled wellness.
