The Major Sports Events Committee has awarded “M” Mark status to the upcoming FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026™, scheduled for September 24 at Mong Kok Stadium, followed by matches on September 27, 30 and October 3 at Kai Tak Stadium.
Committee Chairman Wilfred Ng said that over the four match days, national teams from across Southeast Asia and the Hong Kong, China team will gather in Hong Kong to compete.
“Football fans not only can watch world-class matches up close and experience the thrilling home-ground atmosphere in person, but also join the crowd in cheering on the Hong Kong, China team,” Mr Ng said.
“This spectacular event will bring an exhilarating experience to local sports fans and visitors alike, while demonstrating Hong Kong’s unique appeal as a capital of international sports events to the world,” he added.
