The Buildings Department approved 15 building plans in July – three on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and eight in the New Territories.
Of the approved plans, seven were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, five were for commercial developments, and three were for factory and industrial developments.
Consent was given for works to start on six building projects. Upon completion, they will provide 195 sq m of domestic gross floor area involving one unit, and 2,402 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
Additionally, the department received notification of commencement of superstructure works for two building projects.
It also issued 16 occupation permits – three on Hong Kong Island, seven in Kowloon and six in the New Territories.
The buildings certified for occupation comprise 11,187 sq m of domestic gross floor area, involving 186 units; and 89,458 sq m for non-domestic use.
Meanwhile, the department also issued two demolition consents and 607 removal orders, while receiving 3,314 reports about unauthorised building works in July.
