Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Janice Tse said today that the formulation of Hong Kong’s First Five-Year Plan has been a very fruitful process.
Ms Tse noted that the plan was developed swiftly, establishing a strategic and forward-looking blueprint for the city’s social and economic development.
“Within six months, we can formulate a plan that closely integrates into national development and helps serve the overall national development. During the process, we are indeed very grateful for all the views we received from the public and all the support and collaboration with the Legislative Council,” she said.
She added that the reports compiled by the Legislative Council provided a valuable foundation for the Government when drafting the consultation document. The reports offered clear insights into the expectations of stakeholders and the community regarding Hong Kong’s blueprint for the next five years.
