“Everyone hopes to achieve a fair, lasting, binding peace agreement that every side can accept,” Wang told reporters during an annual press conference on the sidelines of the Two Sessions in Beijing.
“China is willing to cooperate with the international community in accordance with the wishes of relevant parties to achieve a final resolution of the crisis and lasting peace, and will continue to play a constructive role.”
Wang added that “conflict has no winners, and peace has no losers”.
On the Middle East, Wang called for a “lasting ceasefire” between Hamas and Israel in Gaza.
“If major powers genuinely care about the people of Gaza, they should promote a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire in Gaza and increase humanitarian assistance,” Wang said. (Agencies)
