Thousands of people flocked to Ocean Park on Saturday as they can now see the panda twins and their mother, Ying Ying, all in one go.

Visitors who collect an entry ticket can meet the pandas for three minutes, though all tickets for the last session at 4:20 pm were gone by noon.

The park distributed more than 3,000 entry tickets in total.

Lau, a frequent visitor, said she arrived one and a half hours before the park opened.

“I want to capture the first moments of the panda twins, and I’m really looking forward to seeing Ying Ying with her babies. That’s why I need to arrive early,” she said.

Another tourist, Chan and her husband spent HK$1,500 each for a special, 30-minute visit before the park opened.

“I think it’s worth the price. Because the panda twins will grow up and the money will be used to take care of them. So we think it’s ok,” she said.

Her husband said it’s a remarkable experience seeing Ying Ying licking her babies clean.
