Earlier, the park said the cable car services had been suspended due to signalling problems.
It said there were no transport services between the upper and lower sections as the Ocean Express was undergoing an annual inspection.
But the park announced in a statement later in the day that all services resumed at 4.15 pm and called for understanding from visitors.
A tourist from Guangzhou who said he had high expectations of Ocean Park was a bit disappointed by the closure.
He told RTHK he decided to go elsewhere due to the suspension of cable car services and upper park facilities.
“We wanted to go in. But staff told us many facilities are closed. There are no cable cars, and some rollercoaster rides are suspended. We will go to another attraction, the Peak,” he said.
Another visitor said he and his family decided to enter the park because it was his son’s birthday, and he hopes there will be compensation for visitors.
“It’s his birthday and I don’t want him to be disappointed. We’re just unlucky. We hope Ocean Park will provide us with cash coupons, maybe worth about HK$100, because we cannot enjoy some of the facilities,” he said.
