The Major Sports Events Committee today announced that it has awarded “M” Mark status to LIV Golf Hong Kong 2025 and the 2025 Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.
The golf tournament is due to take place from March 7 to 9, while the Hong Kong Sevens will be staged from March 28 to 30.
Major Sports Events Committee Chairman Wilfred Ng said: “LIV Golf returns to Hong Kong this year and will take place at the Fanling Golf Course of the Hong Kong Golf Club, which fully demonstrates Hong Kong’s strength in hosting international sports events. As for the Hong Kong Sevens, it has been moved to the 50,000-seat Kai Tak Stadium this year for the very first time.”
These events not only highlight Hong Kong’s status as a hub for major international sports events, but also contribute to the city’s mega event economy, Mr Ng added.
