  • Spotlights how scaling AI and big data can make clinical pathways more efficient
  • Hosts its second ASEAN CEO Summit to drive collaboration amongst healthcare leaders to redefine care delivery in Southeast Asia
  • Unveils new regional report “Strengthening Stroke System Readiness Across ASEAN”

BANGKOK, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — At this year’s Hospital Management Asia (HMA) healthcare conference, Siemens Healthineers is showcasing how artificial intelligence (AI), data and innovative technologies can transform care delivery by creating more connected pathways. HMA 2026 takes place in Bangkok, Thailand, from September 1-4.

Across its conference participation and exhibition presence, Siemens Healthineers will explore how healthcare organizations can move beyond individual technologies towards more connected models of care. Examples include how AI can be adopted at scale, how care pathways can be redesigned around patients rather than around institutions, and how data can be used to support more personalized healthcare.

“Healthcare systems across ASEAN are navigating rising demand, workforce constraints and increasingly complex patient needs, while advances in AI, data and digital technology are creating new possibilities for how care can be delivered,” said Fabrice Leguet, Managing Director ASEAN and Head of Enterprise Services Asia Pacific & Japan, Siemens Healthineers. “The opportunity is not simply to introduce more technology, but to bring innovation, clinical expertise and healthcare strategy together in ways that make care more accessible, efficient and patient-centered.”

Siemens Healthineers will also host the second edition of its ASEAN CEO Summit under the theme “Redefining Healthcare: Turning Innovation into Impact”. This event on September 1 brings together healthcare leaders, policymakers, clinicians, and innovators to explore how technological innovation can translate into measurable improvements for healthcare systems. Sessions will discuss how AI can be implemented to improve clinical decision-making, hospital operations, workforce productivity, and clinical outcomes. Discussions will examine how AI-enabled workflows can support earlier diagnosis, faster intervention, and more personalized care across major disease areas including cancer, stroke, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disease. From a data perspective, predictive analytics, population health management, and precision medicine will be explored for their potential to turn growing data volumes into actionable clinical and operational insights.

The importance of aligning technology with stronger clinical pathways will also feature in a media roundtable on September 2, marking the formation of the ASEAN Stroke Advisory Board. This comprises stroke experts from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, to share insights on reducing delays and strengthening coordination across the stroke journey. Drawing on the Board’s insights, Siemens Healthineers will unveil a new regional report “Strengthening Stroke System Readiness Across ASEAN”. This highlights recommendations that can be adapted to local healthcare contexts to strengthen stroke system readiness and care pathways across the region. One example is the Mobile Stroke Unit (MSU-8), developed through a collaboration between Siriraj Stroke Center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Siemens Healthineers and RMA Automotive. Live demonstrations onsite show how pre-hospital imaging can accelerate stroke diagnosis and treatment–when every minute counts.

Select attendees will also visit MedPark Hospital following the stroke pathway through emergency care, CT and MRI diagnosis, the operating theatre and advanced patient rooms to see how each stage of stroke care builds a better outcome.

Visitors to the Siemens Healthineers HMA booth can explore AI-enabled clinical pathways across stroke, cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative care, and see how technology can connect different stages of the patient journey. An immersive VR experience lets visitors step into the role of a stroke patient, paramedic, or interventional neuroradiologist to experience how coordinated care can save critical time.

The booth also showcases how digital technologies can transform wider healthcare environments from Facility Design Twinning and 3D Workflow Simulation to test future layouts and workflows, to the AI-powered ActExcell Operational Twin, which models scenarios to improve performance. Syngo Carbon IDM and eHealth Solutions connect patient-data across departments and organizations, enabling more intelligent, data-driven care.
