SYDNEY, Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — CBTW, a global technology solutions company operating across 21 countries, has standardised its governed AI engineering model across its Asia-Pacific delivery teams, embedding common AI-assisted workflows, reusable engineering accelerators, human review and client-approved processing environments into regional engineering engagements.

For Australian businesses, the model provides visibility and control over how AI is used by external engineering teams.

The approach spans software engineering, quality engineering, and data and business intelligence. Membership in Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network and an active Claude Code certification programme support consistent application across its engineering organisation.

For Australian enterprises building dedicated engineering teams in Vietnam, and businesses across the broader APAC region, these practices are embedded from the beginning of an engagement. Where a centre progresses to full client ownership through CBTW’s Build-Operate-Transfer model, engineering practices, technical knowledge and operating governance transfer with the team.

CBTW has completed more than 25 Build-Operate-Transfer engagements and transferred more than 1,000 engineers into client-owned operations.

Governed AI across the engineering lifecycle

Across software delivery, CBTW uses AI-assisted workflows to identify bottlenecks, strengthen coordination and reduce rework. Across its delivery engagements, these practices have contributed to improvements of up to 25 per cent in delivery predictability.

In quality engineering, agentic testing, automated frameworks and AI-assisted test design strengthen release confidence. These approaches have achieved reductions of up to 50 per cent in production incidents in applicable engagements.

Across data and business intelligence, natural language interfaces enable users to query enterprise data and receive answers, summaries and visualisations, reducing reliance on analysts for requests.

Certified teams applying a common AI methodology

CBTW’s active Claude Code certification programme targets more than 650 engineers, including more than 330 in APAC and 320 in Europe.

Engineers are trained and certified to use Claude Code for code generation, review, refactoring, documentation and quality assurance within client-approved environments. Client code is processed exclusively within environments approved by each client, supported by CBTW’s ISO 27001-certified delivery environment, documented tooling policies, human review requirements and governance controls.

An established regional delivery model with AI built in

CBTW applies these capabilities across regional engineering engagements, including Vietnam-based teams serving Australian businesses. National Australia Bank and Ansarada are among the Australian enterprises that have assumed full ownership of engineering centres established through CBTW’s Build-Operate-Transfer model.

The approach supports long-term centres managed by CBTW and centres intended for eventual client ownership. When an engagement progresses to ownership, the team’s technical knowledge, delivery processes, AI-enabled ways of working and operating governance move with it.

“Enterprise AI delivers value when it is applied consistently across the engineering lifecycle, with clear traceability and accountability for how it is used,” said Pieter van Diermen, CBTW Founder and CEO APAC. “Our standardised delivery practices, governance controls and certification programme give engineering teams a common methodology from the outset.”

Supporting Australia’s evolving governance expectations

For Australian organisations, AI within software engineering introduces practical questions around which tools external teams use, where code and data are processed, how outputs are reviewed and who remains accountable.

APRA Prudential Standard CPS 230 requires APRA-regulated entities to manage operational risks arising from service providers. New Privacy Act transparency obligations commencing on 10 December 2026 will also require certain APP entities using personal information in automated decision-making to provide relevant information in their privacy policies.

CBTW’s delivery controls are designed to help businesses demonstrate how AI is managed across externally delivered engineering work.

For Australian businesses, CBTW’s regional delivery model combines APAC engineering capability with standardised AI practices, certified teams and an established pathway to client ownership.
