New partnership expands SU Group’s technology portfolio, strengthens its newly established Macao operation and creates a platform for broader geographic growth
HONG KONG, Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SU Group Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: SUGP) (“SU Group” or the “Company”), an integrated security-related engineering services company in Hong Kong, today announced that its subsidiary, Shine Union (Macao) Limited (“Shine Union Macao”), has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Green Light Multiplex Co. Limited (“GLM”) to market, distribute and sell GLM’s award-winning Inspec Spider high-mast inspection robot. This represents a new revenue opportunity for the company.
Shine Union Macao has received the sole and exclusive right to market, advertise, distribute and sell the Inspec Spider in the Macao Special Administrative Region, one of the world’s most popular tourism, gaming and business locations. The partnership represents an early commercial milestone for Shine Union Macao and supports SU Group’s strategy of expanding its addressable market through differentiated technologies that complement its existing engineering capabilities and infrastructure relationships.
The Inspec Spider is Hong Kong’s first robotic high-mast lighting inspection and maintenance solution. The patented robotic system can climb polygonal high masts and poles up to 35 meters and uses multiple cameras, including 360-degree imaging, to record rust and surface conditions. The system also incorporates artificial-intelligence-assisted analysis, wired and wireless controls, and automatic tilting and balancing capabilities.
Traditional high-mast inspections typically require personnel to work at significant heights and may involve road closures or other operational disruptions. By allowing inspections to be conducted from ground level, the Inspec Spider is designed to improve worker safety, increase inspection efficiency and reduce the inconvenience and economic impact associated with conventional inspection methods.
The technology has received a Silver Edison Award in the innovation field and the highest accolade of a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. It has also undergone field testing at Hong Kong International Airport.
