Xiaomi Motors highlighted its rapid ascent in the electric vehicle market at the Beijing Auto Show on April 23, unveiling strong delivery figures and previewing its upcoming high-performance SUV, the YU7 GT. The company reported that its new-generation SU7 has exceeded 26,000 deliveries in just 35 days, with over 60,000 locked-in orders.
The SU7 series has become a standout in China’s competitive EV landscape, with cumulative deliveries across Xiaomi’s automotive lineup surpassing 655,000 units in the past 24 months. The SU7 Pro recently completed a 1,313-kilometer journey from Beijing to Shanghai with only one charging stop, achieving an average energy consumption of 14.6 kWh per 100 km, underscoring Xiaomi’s advanced battery and energy management technology.
Performance remains a central focus for Xiaomi vehicles. The SU7 Max posted a 1:37.974 lap time at Zhejiang International Circuit, ranking as the fastest four-door production car under RMB 500,000 and outperforming several traditional high-end performance sedans.
The company also announced the Xiaomi YU7 GT, scheduled for official debut in late May. Positioned as a sports car–grade SUV for long-distance travel, the YU7 GT boasts a peak output of 1,003 horsepower, a top speed of 300 km/h, and a CLTC range of 705 km. It represents the first model heavily developed at Xiaomi’s European R&D center, reflecting a blend of global engineering and design expertise.
Additionally, Xiaomi introduced the Vision Gran Turismo concept car, its first participation in Sony’s GT simulation platform project. Featuring an innovative ‘anti-lift’ aerodynamic body that eliminates the need for large rear wings, the Vision GT achieves an aerodynamic efficiency of 4.1, signaling Xiaomi’s ambition to push the boundaries of EV design and performance.
