Huawei Introduces Pura X, a Unique Foldable with Widescreen Experience
Huawei has officially launched the Pura X, a next-generation foldable smartphone featuring an innovative 16:10 aspect ratio display. Unlike traditional flip-style foldables, the Pura X offers both horizontal and vertical usability, enhancing the viewing experience. The device features a 6.3-inch inner display with a 2120×1320 pixel resolution, a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, and HDR vivid support. The cover screen expands to 3.5 inches with a 980×980 resolution, delivering peak brightness of 2500 nits.
High-Performance Camera System and AI Integration
The Pura X houses a versatile quad-camera setup on the cover screen, including a 50MP RYYB main camera, a 3.5X optical zoom camera, a 40MP ultra-wide sensor, and a dedicated color sensor. On the software side, the device runs on HarmonyOS 5, leveraging AI capabilities powered by Huawei’s Pangu large model and DeepSeek AI for advanced voice assistance and AI-driven eye-tracking, which allows users to navigate pages with eye movement.

The Pura X is powered by a 4720mAh battery, supporting 66W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. Huawei claims a 40% improvement in software performance over previous HarmonyOS versions, enhancing responsiveness and ecosystem integration. The phone is available in multiple colors, including Moon Shadow Gray, Zero Degree White, and Phantom Night Black, with collector’s editions also offered. Pricing starts at 7,499 yuan for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
